BIOTIC CONDITIONS

Rodents abundance evaluation:

Breeding conditions:

Wader breeding was well under way despite cold conditions. Active territories were found on 11 km of transects, the most common breeding species were Whimbrel, Golden Plover and Greensank. Willow Grouse were frequently observed. Passerine breeding also appeared to be well in progress, notably nests with eggs of Snow Bunting, Meadow Pipit and Bluethroat were common. Only one active nest of Rough-legged Buzzard was found. Rodent activity was not investigated or observed and we were unable to obtain any local information.
